Global Poverty Project Canada

I am currently planning the launch of the Global Poverty Project in Canada, with a first-ever advisors team meeting in April.

The Global Poverty Project is the vision of Hugh Evans and Simon Moss, both of whom were intimately involved in the Australian MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY campaign. These two campaigners are committed to ending extreme poverty, and believe that citizens from around the world can make this vision a reality.

Endorsed by Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, global advisor to the United Nations on the Millennium Development Goals, the Global Poverty Project is focused on a simple yet ground-breaking presentation, 1.4 billion reasons, currently travelling the world, inspiring and empowering audiences in its path. Based on leading research, the 90 minute presentation clearly articulates the facts of extreme poverty and demonstrates that by making simple changes everyone can be a part of the solution. The North American launch of 1.4 billion reasons is on September 11, 2009 in Toronto, Canada with Centennial College.

Current advisors include actor Hugh Jackman, Producer Chris Adams (Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth) and designer Donna Karan.
