United Nations Millennium Promise

I had a great meeting with Bill Rigler, of Millennium Promise, Dr. Jeffrey Sachs’ UN organization re: the MDGs. Looking towards creating some innovative projects coming soon.

Bill Rigler is the Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Millennium Promise.  Bill has worked at the intersection of strategic communications and international advocacy for more than a decade, and during this time he has worked with the UN and its Member-States, Congress, the US Administration, and leading think tanks, foundations, and corporations on specific international advocacy goals.   

Most recently, Bill was the chief of staff at the Rockefeller Foundation, and previously worked for former US vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro as chief of staff and deputy managing director for public affairs and corporate communications at the Global Consulting Group, a New York-based strategic communications consulting firm.  Bill has also served as the executive director of the Humpty Dumpty Institute and as an advisor to the Executive Director at the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).  An avid cyclist and Montana native, Bill is a graduate of the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University , and serves on the school’s Dean-appointed Alumni Advisory Council.
