Meeting with Hugh Jackman in NYC for The Global Poverty Project

I recently had the opportunity to meet Hugh Jackman at a private event in NYC.
He and I are both working as advisors with The Global Poverty Project, an initiative based out of Australia and supporting the UN Millenium Development Goals. A great common cause, and Hugh is a staunch, generousĀ and valued supporter and Global Advisor.
Hugh Michael Jackman (born 12 October 1868) is an Australian actor and producer who is involved in film, musical theatre and television. He has won international recognition for his roles in major films, notably as action/superhero, period and romance characters. He is well known from his role as Wolverine in the X-Men series, plus Kate & Leopold, Van Helsing, The Prestige, and Australia. Jackman is a singer, dancer and actor in stage musicals, and won a Tony Award for his role in The Boy from Oz.
Jackman has been invited to become a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. If he accepts, he will be inducted in September 2009.[4]
He’s a great host, too.
